Hello Everyone it has been a long time posting for me! I have been a super busy mom these several months. Here is an outfit that I wore to our last prayer meeting. My daughter insisted I take the pic with my husband. We get some really cold weather here in Maine and I live about a mile from the cold Maine ocean so I am seen in one of these pics with a down vest with fur....it was sooo cold that day! All of my clothes were thrifted. Well, God Bless!

Summer hairstyles

Hello :) I thought this week I would show a pic of my daughters new hairstyle she has been wearing. It has been very hot here this past week and she needed to put her hair up. My daughter has very thick wavy hair and it is very hard to manage.This one is my favorite hairstyle she wears.
Do you have any hair styles you would like to share or any hair tips? I would be glad to see them.

Modest Monday

Hello Everyone! It has been a long time since I have posted. The Lord has been using my family alot these past several weeks so I have been very busy! What a blessing to serve such a Mighty God!

We are all done our homeschooling for this year. I do plan on having a summer school this year. I plan to focus more on Bible studies and life skills. I am in hopes to use a few workbooks I bought from BJU Press for the Bible course.

My family has been struggling lately to get to church on time so that is something we will be working on these next few weeks. We live 30mi one way from our church & need to leave "on time". Do you have a tips on making Sunday's commute go smoothly? How far do you travel?

As well as everything else I have been trying to clean out my closet in the evenings.I have been able to weed out a few things but I have such a hard time doing so. I always think of how far I need to travel (2hrs) to the closest place that would even sell a skirt or modest top. So that holds me back. lol

So here is an outfit I put together today. I am not so sure of the skirt length as I wear longer skirts. Maybe some leggings under would help with that.

Hello everyone! I thought I  would share with you a few of the  outfits I put together. I was convicted to wear skirts only several years ago & my daughter 13 has also. I enjoy wearing skirts & never find it a bother to wear them during the cold Maine winters.My husband actually enjoys seeing me in a skirt! I am in hopes to find more feminine tops soon. I plan to post up an outfit once a week. God Bless!

Modest outfit #1

This is an outift that my husband really liked on me. this is the first time in a very long time I have worn earrings & my hairstyle like this.
The shirt is a tee I got on free day at my local thrift store. I was able to get three of them in teal, cobalt blue, & black.The skirt was an Ebay purchase for $5.99. The shoes are so comfortable! I found them at Goowill for $4.99 & they are Clarks!
I am hoping that as I thrift shop more out of town that I am able to find more feminine tops other than tee shirts.

Modest outfit #2

This is my favorite scarf my husband bought me last year. I am wearing a plain black tee shirt as in my other post (not sure why I always choose black!) and the skirt was a thrift store find for $3.99.The shoes are black slip ons I got on free day at a thrift store.
 I have a new hairstyle in this picture.I usually pin back my bangs but my husband said he wanted me to change it up a bit so I put mock side bangs. What do you think?

This is an outfit that I put together in a hurry. I really like the use of scarfs to dress up an outfit. The shirt was an older tee shirt I had for years. The scarf I purchased in Wal Mart for $5 this past winter. My skirt I bought at a local thrift store for $4. I am wearing a pair of plain black slip on shoes I got on free day at my local thrift store.
